My son has a 4 year old male Vizsla - a sweetheart of a dog and perfect for him. Well, some of you may remember that about a month ago he almost died, we later found out from rat poison, but due to good Emergency Vet Care where I live and where my son lives, he has made it totally. The Vet. we saw here in my town really emphasized he needed to be neutered that his prostate was very large. I was delighted as we've been asking him that for years. He's 27, lives in a condo, and is a lawyer, so he's a fully grown, normally responsible adult and it's hard to tell someone like that what they should be doing.

Well, when he took Charlie (the Vizsla) to his own Vet to continue the treatments, his Vet. said not to worry about the neutering, that his prostate was fine. They'd keep an eye on it. I've never heard of a Vet. recommending this before. It makes no sense to me as he's not going to breed him.

Anyone else ever hear of this?
