How many of us are annoyed by this, it is happening so often now. Today, one about Josie from 9 years ago. I hope no one minds but I just wrote to the mods and asked them to please no longer allow this to happen. I really dont see the purpose to it and find it very annoying. Dont mean to offend anyone who likes it.

Doesn't bother me at all.
I've never understood why it's problematic and troublesome.
But, whatever. To each his/her own.
As if Qurate's technology group has nothing better to worry about.

I agree unless it's for something like a lost recipe; chatting-no.

@Shelbelle This is a question about very old threads but not bothered by them at all just curious.
What comes to mind are the Pot Sticker Soup, Preds and Schmoo one tough cookie fighter threads.
By only glancing through them they seem to be in honor of the original poster?

I saw one recently from 2015 or 2017, I forget. It is always strange especially when you start to reply and realize it was from 5 or more years ago.
I thought they were only supposed to keep threads for 1 year or 2?
But yes I always wonder why someone would search for a thread so many years old instead of starting a new one. Maybe they think they are supposed to find a thread_who knows?!
Though most of the time it is a "new"
(not) poster who resurrects a years old thread.

I agree, after a certain amount of time they should drop off or be locked.
It's like every post ever posted is able to be brought back.

They never bother me. When I realize it is old, I just pass it by.
When the mods see them, they are eventually locked or removed.

I sometimes pull up older threads if I have a question or comment about something that has already been discussed.
I always try to research and find if a specific subject has been started by another poster. I've seen someone start a thread, and 15 minutes later someone else starts another thread about the same thing.
It confuses me when I have to go to two different threads to read thoughts from posters. I try to comment on threads started earlier.

Many times the stuff inside old threads is obsolete. It's better to just start a new thread with updated info and with active posters.

@Shelbelle. When you find these ancient threads, notify the mods and they'll freeze them. I don't know why people don't just start a new one. Information from 9 years ago isn't relevant.
