I am still waiting for my airbags from a recall more than a year ago.My dealership says that I am still on a wait list but I think that is unreasonable amount of time for a safety recall.I don't like to take my vehicle on the freeway or any vacation travel because I don't think it is safe until the problem is fixed.

The Takata air bag recall was so massive...I'm not surprised to hear it's taking so long to replace them.

My husband had a recall on his Dakota pickup on the airbags last fall & had them replaced. A month later was in an accident and the airbags didn't work! The truck ended up being totalled. My husband wondered if they would have worked if he hadn't bothered.

@SilleeMee Yes but you would think in these times with mass production that they could get the job done in a year.I had another recall and I only had to wait a few days for the repair.

@StraytoStay That is very scary.I hope your husband was ok.What was said about the malfunctioning  airbags after his crash.

I agree @dex. Seems the longer it takes, the more lawsuits will follow because more people will get injured.

Luckily we have another vehicle that we can use for road trips while my vehicle remains in the garage more often than not.
