This all seems to be over the top, wasteful and silly!

QVC not only sent models, hosts, crew to Vegas (The four Seasons, no less!!!), but dozens and dozens of celebrities- IMAGINE the cost!!!!!

What's the point???? Same boring merch. Nothing new or exciing- I am baffled!

@PABoater , this ad campaign is not directed to their regular shoppers; they are trying to attract new shoppers with this ad campaign.  The new shoppers don't realize this is just the same old merch.  I almost feel like this is their Hail Mary.

I read a post by Sandra Bennett addressing this topic. She said it was a convention for QVC, similar to what other companies have. There were people coming from all over so it was decided to hold it in Las Vegas. The last minute it was decided to put some of it on tv.

If they invited me to go to Vegas, I would be more than happy to pack my bags!

Why do YOU care about the cost--it is a business expense, and appropriately deducted.

My favorite shows were always the gold and jewelry shows set in Italy--I would watch every day eagerly. I am sure they made a nice profit since they did that every year.  I really miss those shows, but gold is sky-high now.

Well, since QVC sold out of several  Vegas items, and gained a LOT of publicity, I would say their point was more than well made.

Many of the people on this forum are not really serious shoppers anymore, anyway, so their opinions do not really affect business decisions.

Wow! I do NOT find the concept boring at all!😁 I understand that this just is not something that appeals to  everyone, but it does for SO MANY other consumers; particularly those who have not been exposed to the marketing other places.🥰 Many will be inspired by the POSITIVE, empowering message to shop The Q who might not have otherwise; including some under the age of 50!❤

I'm confused. What empowering message?

There seem to be several vastly conflicting views of this "event" and it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

To me, the contrast has been going on for a while. This seemed no more than their continued pursuit to entertain rather than focus on straightforward quality, value, and convenience of products to their customers.

Add to the fact that many have become even more aware of this company's lack of a loyalty program and failure to combine shipping costs. It's as if they are wooing new partners all the while forgetting those who brought them to the dance.

I think most realize they need to reach and interest a new larger market. They must think touting platitudes about the possibilities of being 50 plus is the way to do it. Oh, and let's bring along some of our most polarizing host.

Okay, I have to agree. Flying a few hosts is one thing, but flying the whole Kit N Caboodle is quite another. If QVC is lagging in sales, this was not a good choice to waste money on a campaign that just didn't go over all that well. I expected some glitzy, new, fresh items. Nope, flying so far for the same products. Hmmmmm......

The products may be the same products to existing long time customers, but it's all brand new to new customers they've picked up.

I'm not certaain why I'm being empowered to open my wallet?

Like a new lipstick will change my life? You'll be like the 6 figure hosts or the 7 figure vendors?

When you think about it, your hard earned dollars are paying for this event but you're welcome to watch how they are spending your $.
