Exactly.
So supporting Burger King with their $$ makes no sense at all to me.
You are right. Most vegans are way more rigid about those things than I ever was. I do like the idea of some "burgers" sold at a fast food chain being relatively cruelty free vs none of them.
ETA: For me my priority wasn't so much: "is my money supporting a company that supports harming animals?" It was more, "does eating this particular item require that an animal had to suffer?" I liked it when a company or restaurant had good vegan options. It was way beyond the scope of my responsibility to hold the entire company or restaurant accountable for their complete menu targeted at other people. That relegates vegans to strictly vegan restaurants or eating at home. Not fun enough for me to commit to that. I do think the lawsuit vegan people would be happier eating at strictly those places, though.

People have it so easy today and don’t appreciate it. We have generations that fought wars for our very lives so that we can complain about burgers. Maybe they should try being thankful that they don’t have to cook and can afford to go to a restaurant. I can’t have gluten but I don’t go suing over every product that claims it’s gluten free that isn’t. People should be thankful they have something to eat and can afford to buy it. So many spoiled people out there who have never had it really hard.

Why? People love it. Personally I've only had the Beyond Burger which is likely very similar and it's delicious. I've also seen it used in tacos at other chains and Dunkin' is now serving PB breakfast sandwiches with Beyond Meat veggie sausage. I hope this is just the beginning and we see it more and more.
Because Burger King, or any other company, should not have to waste their time and money defending themselves over a ridicules lawsuit. Classic case of ruining it for everybody.
I agree they should not have to waste their time defending themselves. It's a shame, however, that's the nature of the beast. Imagine what would happen if companies simply stopped offering products every time some idiot filed a frivolous lawsuit.

Vegans are why we can't have nice things. Way to shoot progress in the foot for more plant based options. I don't know any vegan who would eat there anyway.

Burger King should ask for court and attorney fees and this should get tossed out of court. Not everything requires a lawsuit. And the name of the lawyer who told him this was a good Idea should be widely publicized as an idiot.

I appreciate your viewpoint.
I am not vegan, although I ate a non-animal product diet for about a year and a half. I wouldn't have gone into a Burger King then and I wouldn't now as I do not and will not support coporate/factory farming and I would be astounded to learn that Burger King and other fast food burger places don't get their meat from factory farms.
That's my bottom line.

You're confusing vegans with Kanye
Sorry I couldn't help myself. To avoid confusion I'll add you have to be a Taylor Swift fan to get the reference

A simple, easy solution would be to add an asterisk on the menu that reads ~
*Cooked along side products containing meat
Maybe even a friendly reminder ~
If you're vegan have it your wayo hold the mayo. And have it cooked in the oven
Yeah, maybe that's taking it one cheesy (no pun intended) step too far.
With meat free options and plant based diets becoming more and more popular I don't see these offerings going away at all. If anything, I think we will continue to see more of them as time goes on.
