@Bonkers1, I think she has a lot of different categories and themes with her items. And while some may feel it's same old, same old I look on it as a continuation of some of her themes. She adds additional pieces for those who want to build collections.

@Tori3569, I have several of her illuminated ornament sets. So I'm surprised she hasn't yet come up the a starry night six ornament set.

I have always thought her stuff was very old-fashioned. I never have cared for her products.

I watched D. Hilfiger and her Christmas offerings.

She is 100% different than Valerie in every way.

Many beautiful items and value was alright, but it didn't

seem Christmas to me. Items that you might leave out

all year.

At any rate, it was different and nice to see something different.

I can find whatever I need at Home Goods. If I am interested in any of her items I can find something pretty close at Home Goods, and if it doesn't work out no return shipping.

I am not a fan of her line anyway, overpriced and a little to kitchy for me.

I liked the Hilfiger pillows and throw in saphire blue.   I have a lot of blue in my house and these were very nice and cozy, along with the furry white pillows.   A nice change from red and green for the holidays.

I don't watch much any more but do occasionally check out her offerings on-line and only very, very rarely see anything I'd want. Yes, over time too much of her stuff has become incredibly kitschy, cutesy and redundant. Each to their own but for me Christmas need not scream CHRISTMAS, everything need not be mirrored, illuminated and so on. I would guess that most of what she brings is sold by wholesalers that then slightly individualize the products and packaging for whoever will be selling at retail. I have seen identical items offered by other retailers, including the TJX stores, usually for less.

It seems like Valerie brings things that I guess are popular with many.

The illuminated spheres, lanterns, hurricanes. And they do repeat often, sometimes with only different sizes, colors, or designs.

For me I like a lot of her stationary figures, especially her birds. And every once in awhile, she has something that is really good and unique.

Last year I got her 2 Christmas chicadees, no lights that I love.

And that  peony wreath for my daughter.

This year I got that snowflake scarf which is more beautiful than I thought it would be.

I do have 2 of her lit things-2 flameless jars with a ribbon that have lasted forever. And that outdoor standing lantern which I've really enjoyed.

I have 2 of her lamps too which have been wonderful-a bird lamp with 2 birds with a fabfic shade with printed birds is really nice.

Some of her things are extremely overpriced to me anyway.

I think she has a very inticing way of displaying things. I think if I saw that in a store would I buy it? And often, I tell myself, no I wouldn't, and certainly not for that price.

Still I like to watch her, especially with Rick. I don't like the whole "Val Pals" reference which she repeats often. Sometimes maybe being part of a fan club type thing makes it more exciting for some to buy and feel included in that loyalty.

I'm sure QVC promotes that kind of feeling with brands across the board.

@Bonkers1 before seeing this post and watching maybe 15 minutes this AM with Rick , I am not inspired to part with my money for her items this year. Nothing at all this for any vendor this Christmas in July has gotten any money from me. I am totally bored.

@stevieb

It seems many of her items are so similar to what she brings out year after year....another lantern, more spheres, more mercury glass trees.

One time I commented on her Facebook Page that I had purchased several of Valerie's wreath, but noticed on the newer wreaths it's been usually the same florals, and asked if she could she please do a floral wreath (any season) with a different flower other than Magnolias....and I got back the snarkiest response from her team, I replied that's ok I'll try our local Home Goods store.

Since I decorate with Luminara and real candles, I do like her pedestals and I got some good prices in the AS IS section, they were in perfect condition ....

Several years ago, I splurged and bought one of her Christmas trees, it was expensive and only latest a year and half. I posted a review on her Facebook Page, and her team told me to just purchase another set of lights....I told them I would expect this if it was from Walmart, but not at the price I paid for Valerie's. I got a nice artificial tree from Home Depot that lasted 3 years and still going strong, then I decided to downsize....it had all the bells and whistles, changing the color of the lights, various light twinkle modes etc.....

Our Hobby Lobby and Home Good stores have very nice selections and a good variety, and sometimes Kirklands too, of course good prices too. But actually I've gotten to the point where I downsized on home decor especially Christmas and donated quite a bit. I even got a smaller Christmas tree, no more 7 ft for me.
