I saw her post and thought how sad for the family, although he clearly had lived a long life and was much loved.

@mollymaggie Thanks for posting. I didn't know. I lost my dad many years ago just before my birthday and Thanksgiving. The holidays were not good that year. I remember, my mom couldn't even bring herself to sit at the Thanksgiving table. Valerie always spoke of her dad so fondly. I'm sure she is feeling a great loss.

I had Valerie on my mind this evening , she had her hip replaced earlier in the year and I am recovering from a fall downtown Philadelphia when I had an emergency hip pinning surgery last month, and went to her facebook. So I saw her daddy has passed away. Then I came here but you all knew. It is a hardest day always when a parent passes but it is hardest I think when they are both gone. it does not matter your age, you become an orphan.
