What happened to the post about the TSV?

I don't know, I never saw it. What did you think of them?

I didn't see the other post, but I bought something similar about 6 months ago. One of the three didn't work at all, and the other two already looked as though they'd been out in the elements for a long time. The finish was peeling off. Yes, I returned them, but continue to see them still hawking this junk.

I'm a little tired of the spheres. They have come out in so many configurations. I have several other VPH mercury glass items, and they are ok, but just not to die for. I don't like the way the "guts" of the electronics and lights can be seen through many of the pieces. Many are crooked or not flat on some necessary surfaces, and sit off kilter.

I liked the presentation but I will look to see them in other stores. Once again, the s/h is stoooooopid. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Did anyone else notice the "special price" in addition to the s/h is just cents away from being the original price? {#emotions_dlg.huh}

I have seen similar ones at the Christmas Tree shops here on the Cape, they also have the bell jar candles for much less and in different colors. I bought my daughter four of them.

I've never purchased any of the spheres, but watched the presentation w/ interest. The amount of C batteries needed was a deal breaker for me and I just plain don't need any more "stuff", as much as I love "stuff". {#emotions_dlg.blush}

I'm really over all the things that need batteries.These look pretty but on one of the threads a poster said the colors will fade if you leave them outside in the sun

Well, that's a deal killer for me. I've been cleaning off our patio furniture and umbrellas, and even the UV specially-coated items are showing a lot of sun damage after just a few years of use.

The first indoor/outdoor spheres apparently had fading issues. The TSV spheres have a UVA (?) protective coating on them.

I love my sphere that I bought for Christmas. I've been sorely tempted by these, but have intentionally avoided watching after the midnight presentation. After the winter we've had, I don't know how many of my perennials and shrubs may have to be replaced and my plants are a much better investment.
