VERIZON WEBMAIL EMAIL...UPDATE ACCOUNT ?????

Has anyone else gotten an email from Verizon about updating email account info?  I typed in the Verizon webmail address but Safari couldn't load the page.

I am concerned since another person posted a problem with AT&T email account password being changed.

TIA

I doubt it's from Verizon.

Is it addressed to you by name?  Did you get a text from Verizon telling you they needed an update?  Did you call Verizon and ask?

As you can probably tell, I'd report this as scam and see what V tells me if I were you.

I got the email, clicked on the link then deleted.  I checked the View Source and did not like what I saw.  Did not appear to be from Verizon.

Re: VERIZON WEBMAIL EMAIL...UPDATE ACCOUNT ?????

We have AT&T & their web-based Yahoo email was hacked. We never received an email from them. They shut down our email it said due to abuse. We don't use the Yahoo email but all our emails also go there anyways. Since it was hacked we received thousands of mail failure notices we had to delete, change passwords etc. These hackers should find something more productive to do with their time.

Any suspicious e mails- hover your cursor over the address and if its not the same as the address showing-- its probably a scam.

And never ever open a link in these e mails. Just delete it.
