Re: V35412 Unstable Fan that can tip over

@Shawnie: Unfortunately, you must have gotten a defective fan. I just took a look at the reviews. There are 75 reviews altogether, 57 of them are five-star reviews.

Re: V35412 Unstable Fan that can tip over

I own two of those Blizzard fans and I love them. One of the fans is placed on my carpet and if I turn it up on high it has tipped over backwards. The other fan is placed on a table and that one will tip over backwards, too! Since I love these fans so much, I modified the feet on them so now they don't tip over or wobble...perfect now.

Re: V35412 Unstable Fan that can tip over

I bought my first one from QVC and recently ordered a second one, this time from Amazon, since I wanted to get it fairly quickly (plut it was a bit cheaper and no shipping).  I love mine and have never had a tipping issue.  I use mine on my hardwood floors.  I tend to shy away from putting such devices on carpeting, if at all possible.

That is odd particularly with the questions and answers.

   @Shawnie

After going back and reading more reviews, I started thinking about my beautiful 85 year old oak floors.

Have to admit my house and floors aren't absolutely level anymore.

If I have a tip-over problem, odds are the fan will be level but my floor won't be.

Looking forward to the 'whisper' mode for sleeping. I like moving air, but don't want a direct breeze on me no matter how soft it is.

    👉checked reviews on this item at Holmes.

346 reviews/ 4.6 out of 5 stars.

This is a popular item.

I just got this fan, it hasn't tipped over and works just fine.

What color is yours?  Do you use it on carpet?  Does it sit firmly on the floor?

@Shawnie I got the gray color. It is sitting on carpet ( it's not a thick pile), I have only been using it for about a week, so far so good.

I wondered why i couldn’t read reviews on this.  But i bought anyway.  How can you screw up a fan?  Well you make one that isn’t level and a feather or a pet or a child or a higher speed can cause it to fall over, that’s how.  Sending it back tomorrow.  Still no reviews to read, but there are q & a’s talking about the problem.  Also the presentation makes a big deal about it not making fan noise.  Well it sounds like a fan, LOL.  This kind of deceptive marketing makes me mad.

@Shawnie  You are absolutely right!  I bought this fan about two years ago.  It fell (falls)  over all the time. I ended up putting it away as I was tired of it falling over. STUPID FAN.

I also see 10+ pages of reviews.  Try using a different browser if you can't see them.

Re: V35412 Unstable Fan that can tip over

Placed my order for the Holmes Blizzard.

off topic:

    @MalteseMomma

I looked carefully on each page in the checkout process for all the options, trying to see what might be happening when you order that gives you easy pay when you don't want it.

Now in this thread you state you can't see any reviews either.

I know we don't all see the same thing on the screen. It differs by the device we're using, the operating system, updates...

I'm wondering if your operating system locks you into easy pay and just isn't showing you things others see because it can't.

This could happen if the level of technology your device is using is older, and no longer fully compatible with what this website needs.

I know this can happen, but I don't have the tech language to explain it, or how to update so you can stop it.

I hope @dooBdoo can please step in and help.
