Using virus to sell products

I RESENT HAVING THE HOSTS USING THE CORONOVIRUS TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS. I LIKE TO WATCH QVC HOWEVER CONSTANT REMINDER WHILE SELLING A PRODUCT ON HOW WE ARE ALL IN ISOLATION HAS CAUSED ME TO TURN TO ANOTHER CHANNEL. I FEEL THEY ARE USING OUR CURRENT SITUATION WE ARE ALL IN TO BRING MORE SALES IN BY USING THIS PANDEMIC TO THEIR ADVANTAGE.

I doubt there is anything on here,that will really help us .

And if they didn't mention the situation, they'd be accused of being cold and insensitive, just business as usual.

I don't see the shopping channels as exploiting the situation. However, they're retailers. They're in business to sell. If they don't sell, they're out of business, and when huge companies fail, that hurts us all.

I'm sick of every celebrity and show telling me how we're all in this together. Please, no, i won't buy your album so a percentage is supposedly going to help people. And shopping shows, stop telling me you really care, and oh yeah, if you purchase something it will go towards some charity.

I think they're trying to sort of sound sympathetic, help with morale. That's not easy to do.

Mass calamities usually happen to just one area at a time, so they'd acknowledge that and offer prayers and move on. This is different, obviously. It's just not common to have one serious issue simultaneously affect their whole viewing audience at once, but in different ways. No simple way to address or not address it.

You can look at it in a resentful way and feel it's intrusive and insincere OR you can be grateful that people who have some influence in society are trying to get us all to help others. I want to think we're in this together and those who need help will get it. I'd rather have us coming together as one than this virus dividing us anymore than we've been in recent years. As far as QVC, turn it off and certainly don't buy anything if you feel pressured. You have choices, but so do they.
