I was at a crop last night and saw the cutest way to use out of season punches to make holiday cards. One of the ladies was using a butterfly punch. She punched butterfly shapes out of various holiday papers (red, white, green), then folded them slightly in half to make them a bit 3 dimensional. Then she glued them in an overlapping circle to make a holiday wreath, added a bow at the top and some little red crystals...voila! A Christmas wreath without buying a new punch. I loved it. I am SO going to steal her idea. You could also use a flower shape, heart, maybe a clover or any number of seasonal punches that aren't specifically Christmas themed. You could also change the color of the papers for Fall, Halloween, etc
Does anyone have any other idea for using punches for other than the obvious?
