Uplifting music...

[ Edited ]

I came across a tune this morning that just put me in a great mood...memories of the early 70's. I was 13 when this tune became a hit. I remember being in the back seat with my sister in my dad's car while we were on a family vacation and we all sang along Smiley Very Happy

Do you have any uplifting tunes you would like to share? Smiley Happy

Music has always been a big part of my life. I started singing as a child. I am in my 50s now. I am a soloist in my church choir, and I was in a band for a few years.  Here are a few of my favorite uplifting songs.

”What a Wonderful World” Louis Armstrong

“Here Comes the Sun” George Harrison/Beatles

”You Raise Me Up” Selah

“Celebration” Kool & the Gang

”Daybreak” Barry Manilow

I've seen Bruce Springsteen several times in concert and boy does he put on a great show for the fans.  Two of the concerts were in the large open MetLife Stadium in NJ and  both times we got poured on by summer thunderstorms.  He was a class act & kept performing - laughing & talking to the audience in between songs.  I don't live far from Freehold where he grew up & he's been known from time to time to still come back to the local ice cream place there.

"Happy" by Pharrell Williams.  Watching and listening to that video always puts me in a better mood.
