I am glad you were able to get the tennis rackets back for your Dad.
It was nice that the nice men helped find them for you too.
Your dad sounded happy to have them back.
I hope Dad is adjusting to his" new" home. My Dad actually liked it once he got used to the his place, and the routine was good for him.
Your Dad is lucky to have such a caring and loving daughter.

@lolakimono- it's just one room.....one packed room. He didn't even want them hung on the wall. He was happy to have them in the racket bag, in the closet. Thanks for the great suggestions though.

That's great that they still had them. I guess I am naive. I thought if you donated to a store, they sold the stuff there. I found out the hard way that wasn't true. I gave away something by mistake and it had been shipped out.

I know you feel so much better & what a great daughter you are. Just one thing I want to mention is if he is in Assisted Living, etc. things are stolen all the time at nearly all the places like that. I don't mean to be a downer but I would hate to see someone take that memory away from him. I know personally things have been taken from my love ones & friends that wasn't worth much but cleaning people, etc. don't care. & either the person is out of the room or is sleeping when things are taken.
Is there any other place he can keep them safe & hopefully won't be stolen?
I am sure your dad really appreciates it & it is great to read what a wonderful & thoughtful daughter you are. Also I enjoy reading all your posts over the years & you are someone I would like to have has a friend.

@Diamonds22- thanks for your comments about my posts. If you ever come to Atlanta, let me know. I'd love to meet you.
Hos is tennis rackets should be fine. They're in the very back of his closet. He's been there over 3 months and we haven't had any problems....yet. He keeps his door locked when he's not in his room and anything of big value/importance is at my house.
