The problem with our 6 yr old oven was the bottom heating element. Straykatz (I believe it was?) had mentioned the element in my other thread. (Thank you!). Anyway my husband checked it and saw the bottom element was not lit. So he looked up how to do videos online and saw that it was easy to fix. He ordered a heating element online. It was delivered this morning. (super fast service!). It was only $50. He fixed it this evening after work and it is working great! YAY! The oven pre-heated so fast we now think that it was slowly breaking because it took longer to heat up before it totally broke (which I just attributed to it being electric taking longer than the gas type ovens I always had before electric). Thank you for all the replies in my other thread they don't make things like they used to.
