Update on "Q" /ignore" feature here?? (?Since 2015 reference)

Is there an "/ignore" feature on this Q Forum already?  yet?

The last I can find here is a "Request," (7 yrs ago).. in 2015!

Is there any updated progress for "/ignore" button here, to report?

News?  Q Ops?    Q Admin?

TIA

There is no ignore/block, etc. button on the forum.

In year's past the mods have informed us that the software they use for the forum does not have that feature.

@MakeUpMaidn

Been here for over 2 decades and have never seen an Ignore Button. Really don't understand the point of having one. Is there a purpose for 1 that I am missing? If so, please clue me in!

For me to ignore is pretty simple. One has to do something to activate seeing a post. Without that activation, how does a person know who posts what in a thread?

Maybe you are talking ignore a specific poster/postee. Again pretty simple do not read them.

IMDb had an ignore button when they had a message board. It would be used when you didn't want to see a certain poster(s) responses.

Hi @hckynutjohn    I hope you & "Mrs hckynutjohn" (& any furrbabies) are doing well.

Your question above is a great question.

I'm going to try to explain this, as best I can, but pls bear with me, it seems complicated, & my words get all twisted with "complicated."

The "/ignore" function, when activated by (say "Person A"), against another person, (say "Person B")  ... *EVERYTHING* relating to ("Person B")  no longer exists.  (incl Name, & Post Content)...everything! ..

It's like "Person B" no longer exists, & indeed never existed before, at all!

"Person A" won't even know if "Person B" is online at the time

And ("Person B") might not even know they're on /ignore by ("Person A")

It's really kewl!

"/Ignore" often uncomplicates, & brightens a person's life

I hope that explains it clearly enough..

.. I gave it the "ole college try."    *w*

Re: Update on "Q" /ignore" feature here?? (?Since 2015 reference)

Here is into,  the name of a QVC prior "/ignore" feature thread, dated 2015

I think I'm not allowed to post a LINK to a prior Q Chat "Topic."

(Don't ask me why.... cause I have no idea, & I cant make sense of it)

So here: ....

Directions:

1) At the top, right of this webpage, there's a window marked "COMMUNITY"

2) To this left of this "COMMUNITY" window,

. . .   there's a BLANK WINDOW

3) In this (left sided) BLANK WINDOW,

4) Cut & paste the following phrase

          Update on the Ignore button

THIS above (RED topic) "Update on the Ignore button"  is the quoted name of a prior Q Topic, ...

...   in this case, a 2015 thread named" "Update on the Ignore button"   (its a 2015 info about the "ignore button" on this Q Forum)

Essentially, the point is... you're requesting to see the Q Topic named:

Update on the Ignore button

in "Community" (this Q Forum's set of topics)

No ignore button. If you don't like a poster and see his/her name on the left side of a post, just don't read it.

Re: Update on "Q" /ignore" feature here?? (?Since 2015 reference)

There used to be an ignore option, years and years ago.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@hckynutjohn John, been here a lot longer than you!  Impossible when I think about it! Anyway, yes we had an ignore button for many many years and I sure do miss it!
