I'm glad you went to  the clinic. I have taken a few off of dogs with tweezers but  never myself.  At least now, with the ladies help here, we will know how to at least kill the little creepy crawlers.

@nana59  unfortunately I can't pinpoint which method killed the tick... I used them all! Cider vinegar first, then I read elsewhere to try peppermint, so I did that, rubbing alcohol, then I used vegetable oil. Oh, and I did use a lit match. I have a high tolerance to pain, so having the flame nearly touching my skin didn't bother me.
