I just wanted to post and say thank you for the advice given on our new kitten and litter training. I am happy to say within less than 1 week she is going in her litter box on her own! I took all of your training suggestions and they worked.
As far as the vet, the vet said (according to her age) she did not need to be seen until the 3rd week in March for her check up, shots, etc.
She is also eating little bits of kitten food now but still drinking some of her kitten formula, but out of a bowl not bottle fed anymore. We tried to give her water but she likes the formula better for now.
We keep her in the 1 bathroom yet when we go away or are in bed because our 2 other cats aren't used to her yet. (and they are like 4 to 5X her size! lol). Also we want to be safe until she gets her shots and all when she sees the vet.
Otherwise she has the run of the downstairs and runs, jumps, and plays with all her cat toys and she loves sleeping in her little igloo (in doors of course, its a material shaped igloo she can hide/sleep in). And she loves to sit on my lap when I'm on the computer like now lol.

Shorty2U: Thank you for this update. It is obvious that your new kitten is really trying hard and is totally at home with you, and your story totally warms my heart. It always amazes me how fast these very tiny creatures learn the ropes. Many years ago I adopted a young kitten in New York that had been found wandering the streets. On the first day he stood in the middle of the living room and cried and I realized he had forgotten where the litter box was. It was so endearing, not least because, as tiny as he was, he did not even try to "go" anywhere else. I totally loved him for ever. Anyway, my very best wishes to you and your new baby and I know you will enjoy all the love coming your way.

@Shorty2U what a great update. People on these boards know pets and what to recommend. I love that the kitten was on your lap as you updated us. That's so sweet!!! You're going to be bonded in no time.

This thread is useless without a photo or better yet a video!
So happy to hear things are going well @Shorty2U!

Really happy to hear things are going well for your little kitten. I can't say I am surprised about the litter box. While their mama has a bit to do with it, it also seems to be an instinct for most felines.
As she gets older some are ultra particular about having a clean litter box. They also sometimes reject changing types and/or brands of litter. Some don't like their box changing locations in the house.
Oh, by the way. Felines have to be pampered, but only when they allow you to do so.
Our best to you and your new little girl, from our fairly big feline family, and our 1 canine. =^..^=

Just how is this thread "useless" without a photo? Shorty was asking for advice from posters here. Why does she need to post a photo?
