I just got home from taking my dad to have his heart examined. The technician put the wand with the gel on his chest and took pictures and recordings of his heart. The technician was very guarded with what he was saying, (liability reasons, I suppose. Doesn't want people to take something out of context, or the wrong way and get all hysterical, I guess) but he did say that it definatly looked like atrial fibrillation.
He has another appointment next week (on Valentine's day, of all days), to go over the results, and to see where we go from there.
I admit, I'm scared.
I try to put on a brave face for my dad, because I don't want him getting upset over MY being upset.
The technician DID say, "I can tell you if you have a heart beat, if you are pregnant, if you have aliens, or if you have something catastrophic. You have a heart beat, you're not pregnant, there were no aliens, and it's not catastrophic."
I'll let you know how things go next Tuesday.
Please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers that we'll get GOOD news next week.
Thank-you ever so much!
