Hi everyone,

Finally, after 10 weeks, my cousin Betty will be undergoing finally surgery for her gallbladder on the 9th, so this Friday... By now she is much stronger, and very anxious to get it done and over with. They never did find out, what happened to her, why she nearly slipped into death, now many months ago.

My boss and friend, Renata, is doing overall quite well. She had stomach surgery for cancer, that's always how she talks about it, and still some chemo to come. After this week, she will have to go in again, and then will get the new diagnosis. She has lost an enormous amount of weight, and is 95 lbs or so. However contrary to my cousin, she has her daughters and their beloved husbands closeby, living with one of them, and moving along with them, when they move into a huge new house.

So by giving you this update I want to again thank you for all the prayers, good energy and well-wishes that so many of you have posted here. I am convinced it helped, along with being on several prayer lists, incl. the Guide Post, a loving publication, with wonderful volunteers.

Looking forward 5 years, I hope in particular that Renata is holding up well, she got the best care in the world at Johns Hopkins, and would recommend to everybody to see if you, if needed, try to enter their hospital, as they are just fantastic. How she was recommended to do this, she came in through the E.R. in the middle of the night.

Again, thanking you for everything and wishing you the best of health and happiness, always!

Hugs,

magenta
