I went to Oxford twice. Once when I was 19, and again just two years ago. Oxford is a stop on the Stonehenge tour.

If he and she want to do as they please without regard to how it may embarrass the family then he should give up his title and all the perks the come along with it. He can't expect to have it both ways.
As to Harry marrying Markle, I believe he will regret it. I like Harry and hoped he would marry someone who has more positives and a lot less negatives.

Oh my! I hope Harry isn't reading this forum.
I like him, but i couldn't care less about his romances, more power to him. It's just kinda hilarious to see people opining about his royal obligations.
LOL ........... The actual royals are all accidents of birth; they didn't willingly join the family. Only the royals' spouses sign on ... by marriage.
Thinking Harry should give up family membership for fear he might embarrass the other royals is just ludicrous. No one has asked foolish Andrew to give up his title, have they?
It's sort of awkward when the Queen is the Queen because God made it so. And then we come along and say but their public relations is lacking. (Tell that to God
)
??? Are you addressing that to me? I don't recall saying the royals PR is "lacking".

@Pearlee Thank you from one sensible gal to another.
@chips62 Glad you like England, however, this is news to me using "peculiar" as a compliment - suggest you do not try this in London! I have a grandson at Oxford at the moment and agree it is beautiful.
Off the topic re Harry et al - my opinion is think of Andrew and there goes Harry - both playboys and enjoying life - as they should - both have very comfortable lifestyles so I feel Harry always feels he has to make a mark somehow being the younger brother is not much of a position especially now there are William's children. He is doing charity work as do most of the other Royals.
Most of my pals in U.K. do not worry too much about Harry and his future wife - more discussion here which I find interesting.

i read that MMarkle was in London - but not included in the big 70th anniversary celebration the other evening. i found that odd if the Queen is approving of her. seems like a zillion family royals were there.

I guess MM's current status is "girlfriend". I wonder if Andrew's daughters' boyfriends were present ... could you tell?

@ms traditional I don't think it has to do with whether the Queen approves of Markle or not. It has to do with royal protocol. With girlfriend status (even if secretly already engaged but not yet announced) she wouldn't be included in a family event.

According to People online, Meghan is moving in with Harry at Kensingon Palace. She is in the process right now since Suits has stopped filming. And "a close source" says Harry has made no secret that he wants to marry her and that "she is the one."

@pearley @Tinkrbl44 it might have been "no ring, no bring" but i did read that the Queen made an exception for a major celebration a few years back ---- for Camilla. so who knows?
