Re: Update On My Health (CT Scan)

@NickNack

The date with your Urologist is much sooner than I would have thought - I'm so happy for you so you won't be in suspence for a long time.  Sometimes there're shortages of specialists and the wait can be nerve wracking.

My prayers will be for a positive outcome for you.  But from what I've read on today's post, you're not dwelling on these results.  I personally think you've got a tremendous inner strength that will help you stay calmer.  As @Tissyanne said, both Ava & Henry will keep you occupied.  (You're in good hands with them watching over you.  Heart)

Re: Update On My Health (CT Scan)

@NickNack

I send you strength and many prayers as you work thru your health issues.

Please be thankful that kidney lesion was found in the CT of something else, as these are indeed silent, hidden issues until they are advanced stage and causing serious problems.

After a very serious accident 11 years ago, a CT revealed a growth on my brothers kidney.   That growth was cancerous and was removed.   The cancer came back in a few years, and that kidney was removed.   My brother is doing well with one kidney.

My very best wishes to you.

Re: Update On My Health (CT Scan)

Stay away from the Internet when it comes to trying to interpret test results. I had killed myself off several times, to find out that it was not what I thought.

Also, I had a good girlfriend that had a cancerous tumor on her kidney. She had the kidney removed and she did not have to do chemo or radiation, and she is still doing well today. She is about 65 and this happened about 15 years or so ago.

You have two kidneys.

Thank you @sceniccoast .  I think I've got some inner stress that I hadn't realized from being sick for so long (gastro issues since July).  I've had a daily headache for four or five days.  It's hurting when I wake up and hurts all day.  It's not from this latest news, because I didn't know any of this until yesterday.

I think I'm going to have to see my regular doctor if they don't stop.  Tylenol isn't helping.  Twenty years or so ago I had chronic daily headaches and took propranolol.  I took it for quite a while, and when I quit taking it my headaches were gone.  I don't know what caused them then, but this feels like the same thing.

Do you or anyone else have any suggestions for what to do for daily headaches?

Thank you @RedTop .  Yes, I am very thankful that the doctor ordered the CT scan for my gastro issues and found this.

I'm glad your brother's was found, too, and am very glad that he's doing well now.

@NickNack   I had horrible headaches as a child, screaming in pain which just made them worse, and took aspirin.  They continued into adulthood, so took aspirin every day as a preventative.  I don't get them any longer, Have you tried Ibuprofen?

I am hoping for the best scenario regarding your kidney.

@mousiegirl   Yes, I have a lot of arthritis in my back and neck.  I've had it for 15 - 20 years.  I take ibuprofen every day, and I take a lot of Tylenol, too.  Nothing really seems to help though.  It hasn't prevented the headaches I've started to get.

I really think it's all from stress.  I woke up this morning thinking about my dog, Ava, and my cat, Henry and how much they need me.  I'm more stressed about this than I thought I would be.

Re: Update On My Health (CT Scan)

@NickNack

I wish I could give you some helpful info regarding the constant headaches.  I only know for me, mine are mostly sinus related.  During stressful times, I've had them as well.  As you say, you've been experiencing issues since last summer.  This concern could be factoring into the headaches due to stress.  I'm not in the medical profession, but it makes sense.

Please make an appt. with your PCP to at least try to concur the headaches.  You don't need these as you have enough on your plate.  I'm going to think "positive" for your wellness.  Reach out to the people here anytime.  I hope some medical professionals see your post & may offer some medical advise.

Best wishes to you @NickNack .. if possible, stay strong & positive.  Heart

@NickNack

Just wondering if any specific thing(s) have caused your Cervical and Spinal Arthritis since you have dealt with it for 15-20 years.

My Cervical Arthritis was from a neck injury back in the '70's. I have 3 partially crushed vertebrae in my neck. My Spinal Arthritis is around the 3 Spinal areas where I had my L-3/L-5 and S-1 removed after them being ruptured. My 1st surgery was in 1974.

The first 3 fingers on both hands are very Arthritic because of my 30+ years of lifting reels of phone wire with those fingers. The other parts of my body Arthritis is from my hockey any referring injuries.

Never been one to stress much about many things in life. Our 3 cats and our dog are stress breakers for my wife, and I just love the company. Holding them is always a very comfortable feeling for me.

Never been one that has a headache unless there was a direct cause. Running into walls and hitting my head on cabinets and other things are the external causes. Stress headache, never had one.

Wishing you the best with everything,

Re: Update On My Health (CT Scan)

@NickNack I echo all here who are praying for a good outcome to your medical issues. I can relate as am going through my own health crisis right now and have been stressing out big time.  People keep telling me to not worry but when you're in this situation it's so hard, and going through it during the holidays makes it more stressful IMO.  It's caused me much anxiety and depression. Praying you get answers you're looking for soon!
