Re: Up and at it, or slow moving in the morning?

Night Owl here married to a Lark - seems that happens a lot.

I wake slowly, stretch, visit with the kitty babies who sleep with us - see what their plans for the dar are, have my warm lemon water, followed by coffee.  DH long up and gone.

Re: Up and at it, or slow moving in the morning?

I am wide awake in the mornings but my arthritis is bad then so I am stiff & in pain. I get my coffee and take my meds, then usually I look at my e mails etc for about an hour til the tylenol starts to kick in and I can move more easily.

I’m an early bird, usually up around 3:00 or 4:00 am.  My highest energy is first thing in the morning so that’s when I like to accomplish things.  My husband is the complete opposite so he comes to bed when I’m getting up. In the pre-dawn darkness I do cleaning, calisthenics, reading, grocery shopping, etc.  At dawn, I’m out the door for a 2 to 3-hour walk.

Re: Up and at it, or slow moving in the morning?

When I was teaching, I was up every morning at 4:00AM and did an hour of exercise.  I loved how quiet the house was.  It was truly ME time.

I'm still an early riser and seldom in bed past 6:00AM.  I still love the solitude of morning.  Even in the winter, I love having my coffee on the porch and watch the sun rise over the ocean.

Whenever possible I schedule the earliest appointment of the day, do all my errands and grocery shop always before noon.

Re: Up and at it, or slow moving in the morning?

My minimum sleep is 6 hrs and I like a few more--but I wake up in a great mood no matter what.  Any shortfall in sleep has consquences in the afternoon of that day.  I do my best work before noon, esp. if it involves organizing and being creative.  And breakfast is my favorite meal.

I am a morning person.

The birds are waking me up very early these days

Once they start there is no going back to sleep.

I think they are doing it on purpose!Smiley Very Happy

Although I don't sleep that well (hence my user name), I'm up and at it in the morning.
