When I worked, it was get up and go, no nonsense. Now that I'm retired, I sleep in , read the paper, check the iPad and have a leisurely breakfast. I like it.🌺

i'm retired now - but still up before 4 - news, internet with coffee - high priority inside items on my list taken care of, showered and dressed by 8, walking next. i like to get groceries out of the way early in the day, too. then i have the rest of the day for leisurely activity. i can't really enjoy "leisure" if i know there are pressing things to be done. i am used to an early start due to my previous profession and growing up in the South where things in spring and summer are best done before the heat of day.

@QVCkitty1 Same here. Worked 41 years straight and got up,got ready and went to work. Now retired. Usually get up 7 or 8, maybe not. Have coffee, IPad, read etc. no rush to do anything anymore. Just do whatever I feel like doing or not doing! LOL.

@CareBears Speaking of grown up the below was my son's first teddy bear I bought when pregnant with him in and he loved for years. Found a vintage one still with tags and in box to give to my granddaughter on her first Christmas in 2014. Collecter's item. Same as her Daddy's. I knew you would appreciate it.

I am slow moving in the morning. I'm not particularly a night person either. I sort of peak around noon.

@beckyb1012 After you ride do you have to go to work?.I was wondering why you get up so early to ride. You must be in bed by eight after that early start.I admire your routine and wish I had that discipline.

@dex Yes I am usually at my desk by 7:00 even though I do not open my office until 8:30. Like to read the paper on line ect..... I turn in at 9:30. Started all this riding and reading back in 1985 with the last of the baby weight to get off and husband and son sleeping. Just stuck with it. I have gone through five bikes but it is easier then going out to a gym. Love walking too for variety, but alas you cannot read.
