Re: Unusual Florida Scene

[ Edited ]

Gorgeous pic, @Kachina624

Thank you for sharing!  Woman Happy

I can remember when a familiar group of us used to rent a beachfront cottage at Dewey/Rehoboth Beach, DE, yearly, sharing our "without-a-care" grateful Thanksgiving week/weekend together.

One such year, when walking barefoot, along the beach, deep in thought, I noticed Ocean Waves brush over my wet, sandy feet, & meet, touch, taunt, overwhelm, slowly capture, & even carry off segments of the strange, neighboring, errant banks of snow.    I paused.  This provided such a keen, deep, stark, provocative drama to me.

The snow was relentless, & stood her ground. But so too were the waves.  Such a dramatic warring was washing over my bare feet. There was no escaping. I was swept into their war.

*pause*

Has something this metaphorical played out in our/your lives?  (such as, absence of a Spring/Autumn, to help with possible transitioning to the many times, stark Winter/Summer)?

* Perhaps,  Life, swept to death,

          (without a sufficient healthy mourning)

(btw, this often happened to many of us, our beloveds during COVID,

Myself included. - even with beloved pets - again, myself included)

- or -

* Crime/Bad Acts, rushed to words of apology,

(without the process of sincere repenting) ?

*  Health, suddenly swept to incapacitated

           ad infinitum.

My Beach experience taught me of the importance of that transitional Spring/Autumn in my life.

You?

@Kachina624   I see your awesomely beautiful pic as also a reminder of this profound wonderful, deeply, tactile memory I experienced & appreciate.

In your pic, even beyond its glorious allure, I see those shoe footprints in that transitional sand, between the warring Warm Summer Sand, & the Cold Winter Snow.

How many times, I wished to see my own shoes in those transitional footprints.

But then, I remember, there are indeed my footprints.  Yet, sadly, they seems to disappear

And I realize, that is my transitioning.

Rather than a sadness, I realized, their gradual disappearance is my merciful comforting.  And, I'm grateful. Woman Happy

Thanks again, @Kachina624  Woman Happy
