Unplug the Christmas Machine--A Complete Guide to Putting Love and Warmth Back into the Season

Now that the official holiday has passed (although Christmas lives in the heart of many the year long), if you would like to read a book, plan a workshop for your church group, or have a group of friends meet to discuss how to put love and warmth back into Christmas, this book and an accompanying workbook is very good. If done in a group, there is also a leaders' handbook.

It is a guide to managing the stress and combatting the commercialism of Christmas and how to make the Holiday more spiritual and less materialistic. So, if you feel like your Christmas turned into a very stressful time of the year, you might want to consider this book with its practical discussions, ideas, and how to teach children that Christmas is more than just getting gifts.

Our Sunday school class did this as a group in September and each person chose different ways to destress their holiday and concentrate on the real reason for Christmas.

If you do decide to read this book, I hope you enjoy it and it brings you a more peaceful, less stressful holiday season.

“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.” St.Teresa of Calcutta
