I think ALL of @Carmie posts (Especially #2) sum it up and I TOTALLY AGREE with her !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And I think Posters (new & old) need to consider what they post. I was always taught to think about what you say before you say it.

Btw I never heard the saying about the throwing out the baby with the bath water before? I’m going to have to look that one up. 😂

I guarandamtee you, the ugly remarks would not be said in person to the hosts. The anonymity of online posting encourages hatefulness in those ppl who already possess that trait.

@smoochy.  Ha!  I'd consider it a joy and a pleasure to tell one certain host what I think of her, IN PERSON!

The hosts are THE reason I no longer watch. I have nothing against them....just not my cup of tea. I need product information...not interested in antics or stories.

@Carmie I understand what you're saying. However, in a specific job where my performance would affect our overall numbers, meaning money, it WAS critical we listened to our customers. I would correct my style if it seemed to offend anybody.

In addition, surveys are done continually. These surveys are not by every single customer of course, it is based on average. Yes, these forums are just a small portion of customers but they are not the only customers thinking as they do. There are definitely a handful of hosts that are disliked widespread here. Even if a host has high sales, perhaps sales would increase even more with a change of behavior.

You state you watch very little. I think the customers that watch QVC regularly are the ones' that have a strong aversion to certain hosts.

As you say, I don't watch and I refuse to buy while the hosts I cannot watch are presenting. What some do not realize is by putting their TV on mute it is not changing hosts behavior. Anybody that truly has a dislike for a host's behavior should not order ANYTHING while they are hosting. Otherwise, it looks like they have sold them an item and nothing will change.

I completely agree with you, there are people here that seem to "look" for a hosts mistake. Why they even watch a host they don't like is beyond me.

As a rule, people do not like salespeople. Google it.  I did.  They are considered manipulative, pushy, and untrustworthy and will do and say anything to make a sale. The "hosts" are not hosts; they are sales techs, sales clerks, sales agents—whatever you want to call them. They are on QVC to sell merchandise, whether it be that of celebrities, designers, or whomever.

The fact that QVC seems to want to add another level of falsity by making it seem like, "Hey everyone, we are having fun here, we are hearing stories, we are your good friends" adds to the feeling of being played by a salesperson, and I think that is what is irritating to some.

And I'm not saying I don't like some light banter and a few spontaneous laughs between "host" and vendor but all-out chaos, and Diva behavior is like smoke and mirrors to me.  Just a distraction, an obscuring of what the situation really is all about.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

@Northray  I have nothing against salespeople and I don't have to 'google' it.

I don't think QVC cares at all and they won't do anything about anything that bothers people.

Mally swears which is very unprofessional and QVC uses her comments with swear words sometimes beeped out and sometimes not for their commercials. So, they not only approve, they promote it.

So, why bother voicing your disapproval? The bottom line....QVC doesn't care.

Why take it out on the hosts? They do as they are told and no one is telling them to change their behavior because it bothers some people.

I don't have anything against salespeople either, including on shopping channels. I think some take this way too seriously, getting so irritated by hosts and their shows. Why let it bother you?  There's only one host that I don't watch and even then I don't get that annoyed when she's on. I just don't watch and usually look up items recently aired & shop that way. Don't understand people getting so bent outta shape over a Q host or any salesperson.

@cjm61  -  While this forum is just a small representative of the whole, there's a ton of posters on Facebook that are posting the same type of comments about hosts.  For example -  the comments posted here about Jane T. and Shawn are the same on FB.

Whatever, that's just you.  And that's why I said to google it, it's a thing, check it out for yourself, it's not a mandate tho, jeez.
