Why do people keep posting rude things about the QVC hosts?  They know the post is going to be removed.  smh  I don't get it.

I don't like the personal attacks on hosts or posters. Those should be deleted.

Some people have valid points but don't appropriately word them.

Some people have forgotten the art of agreeing to disagree.

Some people think it's ok to be mean because it's what is modeled by many political, religious, and other societal leaders.

Some people have truly suffered and have certain triggers. We need to be patient with them.

That said, I find most posters to be decent people.

They do it because there are no real consequences.  Nothing happens except the post gets pulled or deleted.

In the meantime, they can complain and get other posters to join in and get the attention they crave.

Some people are just mean and negative.  I am glad I don't really know them in person.

IMO, it's a form of bullying and there are two hosts who are mainly the targets.

@monicakm In my opinion, some hosts just bother the heck out of some viewers. I guess people have to vent.

On that note, I wish it was more constructive criticism done in a tactful way. It doesn't have to be mean. And criticising a host is not necessarily bullying. Haven't most of us had performance reviews from our bosses? The purpose is to improve our skills and job performance. I think the powers that be should at least listen to some legitimate complaints here.

I for one will not watch when two particular hosts are on.  I just choose to not watch, therefore I do not buy at those times.

Agree with @cjm61  about "constructive criticism done in a tactful way" is okay.  Not in a mean way.

Re: Unkind to Our Hosts

[ Edited ]

@cjm61   Performance reviews are done by your employer, not the general public. Constructive Criticism isn't done in public

Apparently, QVC, who is the employer, is very happy with the host's performance.  So much so,that these hosts get prime time on the main station and they have been working there for many years.

We can assume that they are moving a lot of merchandise or they would not be working prime time.

In addition, not everyone who watches QVC is on the forums.  Most shoppers are not.  So, only a very small percentage of watchers/ shoppers complain.

I watch very little.  There are some vendors and presentations I won't watch...just not interested.

Many of the complainers watch anyway to look for issues.  As long as they are watching, there is a chance they will buy something.

As a business owner, I guess I can see things from the other side.

Hiding behind a nic seems to allow for name calling.  A bully tactic for attention.  I do think that a person would not say these things to your face.  At least I hope not.

Well ladies, I appreciate everyone's point of view.  I know all of you know I don't even watch tv much less a shopping channel.  However, there is an appropriate forum for complaints and the Beauty forum isn't it.  Down at the bottom of the forum topics are two forums that would be appropriate for addressing hosts issues. One is Customer Care and the other is Suggestion Box.  Maybe their opinions would be validated there and not deleted.
