Re: United Healthcare Part D premium increase for 2017 came in the mail today

This has been a very interesting thread.

I know nothing about Medicate nor Medicare Part D but expressed my opinion on Insurance for those who don't receive retirement.

I posted that our Insurance premiums are $1100.00 per month, not counting copays, prescriptions, deductibles, etc. Our premiums were raised from last year just like the previous years. When I was a single working woman, my premiums were raised every year as well.  This has been going on since Health Insurance was first instituted.  Nothing has changed.

In the world of Pharmaceutical, the prices rise as the drug becomes more popular and or the exclusivity runs out.

Nothing against the OP but I WISH all I had to worry about was an $11.00 monthly raise and $2-4.00 prescriptions.

The Insurance and Pharmaceutical companies make HUGE profits and they'll see to it that things don't change.

Good thing there is no "inflation" or who knows what it would be Smiley Frustrated

Shop around.  There are plenty of companies out there offering decent coverage.
