Re: Unbelievable but True

[ Edited ]

@SoX

That sounds normal for Fed-Ex.....One of my favorite stories didn't even occur during the busy holiday season---I was home all day, I went out front to water my container plants and saw the FedEx sticker on my front door---

Shipper requests signature was checked, and also this was the final attempt was also checked.

The problem---

1. Apparently he never knocked.

2.  Tracking on the website showed this was the first attempt and no way should it have been a final attempt!

3.  This was a family DVD of my neice's performance in a school play.  Since it had no value, except to family, my brother specifically requested no signature required and just to leave it at my front door.  Why the Fed EX guy required a signature WHO KNOWS!!!  My brother sent it Fed Ex so I could give it to my aunt as a surprise at her birthday party.  When  I told my brother what happened He was hopping mad, and called Fed Ex and chewed them out.  They did redeliver it

And there are other Fed Ex stories but you get the drift Woman Frustrated

Amazon has sometimes said

"handed to customer"  or "left in mailroom"

Neither NEVER happened.  I don't have a mailroom and I never met a delivery person at the door.

Okay that is not funny but it is funny.  Snap a pic and send it to Fedex with a polite recommendation you applaud the driver's effort but he kind of defeated the purpose with a public announcement.

It must be the week for it!   Earlier this week I had one from USPS NOT delivered as it was scanned 'animal interference' (a lie).   Odd how, since the letter carrier did come up to my house and deliver my neighbor's mail into my mailbox.   Yet, apparently, a herd of animals showed up precluding delivery of any of MY mail, not to mention my pkg (got it the next day).

Yesterday I had a UPS paracel delivered and it was scanned 'Met Customer Boy'.   Huh?   It was dropped on my porch.  There were no humans or animals out there.  Just a UPS guy dropping the parcel.

Talk about weird, you sure have some strange delivery people, it's a wonder you even get your packages delivered.  Woman Surprised Woman LOL

I don't mean to laugh but that is dumbest thing I heard all week.  Why didn't he just leave it on the sidewalk with big  "take this package!" sign on it.  It's that time of year and delivery people are under pressure but they still need to stop and think.  UPS tried to deliver a package to my upstairs neighbor at 9pm last night.  I could see them on the stairs, they didn't ring my bell but I buzzed them in.  I thought they would leave the two package by the mailbox or perhaps go up and leave them at her door.  They went up with the packges and knocked.  They came back down with the packages.  They didn't leave them inside near the mailboxes.  They went back out and left them on the outside landing.  LOL  Why?  I cannot tell you.  It made no sense at all since they had been inside.  Why not leave them inside?   While I pondered if I should pull the packages inside, my neighbor came home and retrieved them.

It's obvious the part time help they hire for the holiday's don't think, but this is beyond "don't think", glad the neighbor got the packages before they disappeared.

@faeriemoon - That's happened to me, too!  This week Amazon lost one of my packages, apologized and then offered to send a replacement.  But when I looked at the details in my order history, it said "Customer refused delivery".  I was at work all day - I guess my cat learned to talk because no one else was home!

I feel you should be grateful that the driver indicated where he left your package. I surely don't find this unbelievable and bad. You got your package.
