It's not the government that should concern you - they have to jump many legal hoops to get any PII about you.  It's private enterprise that knows what kind of food you buy (use your grocery loyalty card much?), etc.  If you buy a lot of junk food, for example, or are you a gym member, believe me that's on some cloud somewhere.  When health insurance companies start setting premium prices based on lifestyle choices, or genetic markers (Ancestry.com DNA) we'll see that this PII is used to maximize profits.  But we cant live in 1955.
