It looks like you took the picture in the daylight .... he/she  probably got lost on his way to go to sleep in the daylight so he attached himself to the house to sleep for the day... once it gets dark he will be gone & will never return  🦇

@Citrine1    They hang on the side of things and sleep during the daytime.  I've seen them hanging on stucco buildings during the day.

While I totally understand your feelings, I'd rather have 100 bats flying around me than one bee.     We all have our issues, so I get it.  Smiley Happy

 

But, aren't they just a teensy tiny itty bitty bit cute?  Smiley Very Happy   Ok, I'll stop.

The whole story line with Melody Pond/ River Song is my absolute favorite of Doctor Who.  I want to BE River Song, lol!

Well, I love bats.  I often had them resting overnight in my front door wreath at my last home. They would fly away when I opened the door to go retrieve my morning paper.

I worked in a visitor center where we had a bat "visitor" come inside.  It was so scared and out of its element.  A ranger came to retrieve it and bring it back outside.  All of the visitors that day, watched the process and were happy the little bat got safely relocated.
