I went to the post office this morning to pick up my package that was to be delivered yesterday. I'm on anti anti-anxiety meds and they need to be signed for. Optum RX emails when shipped with tracking # and date of delivery. I also have informed delivery. Anyhow, the post person just left a note in my mailbox saying he couldn't deliver because he couldn't get a signature. The resason for that is because he never got out of his darn truck and come to the door to let me know he was there. Long story short, I asked the man at the post office and he say, yes, they need to come to the door to get signature, but he doesn't know what they do when doing deliveries. I said yes,but you're the one that has to listen to the complaints. End of story.

I get my anxiety meds in the mail all the time and I dont have to sign for them.  I think you need to contact the company that says you have to sign for them to see why they need to have a signature.

@catter70 Sounds like we have the same mail carrier Smiley Happy Ours will never go out of his way for anything. In fact, he doesn't even go within his required job description. He has even been featured on our local news as one of the worst USPS workers. Yet, he is still working, if you can call it that.

Thanks, @sann , I'll have to check that out. Apparently, the PO isn't aware.

@catter70 .  Also check with OptumRX, the shipper  determines USPS Signature Confirmation not the receiver, i.e. your local post office.

You got your package.  You voiced your complaint.  Let it go.   It's happens to all of us, it's such a big deal.

Kinda defeats the purpose of having them delivered to the house if you have to go to the post office to pick them up.  Very frustrating.  When you order see if there is a box to check or uncheck for no signature required.  I have meds delivered to the house and I had to check that I didn't want to have to sign for them.

Not everyone is able to travel to the PO, especially those whose health requires medication. What's a minor inconvenience for some isn't for others.
