I welcome a decrease in stamp prices. I think USPS should revise bulk mailing prices to reflect an increase. Although bulk mail probably brings in a major source of revenue, it usually goes straight to the garbage creating waste or recycling. Sometimes bulk mailings are the only thing in my box. Lots of their time and energy goes into bulk mail, and I find most of it as annoying as a telemarketer. I would rather those companies or politicians pay more than the average customer instead of getting an incentive. I guess they're the ones keeping USPS going over the years, though.

Not sure what this says about my communication habits, but I welcome any decrease in the cost of stamps.
To the OP, I don't ever remember a decrease, but, honestly the cost of stamps doesn't rile me up all that much. I consider it a bargain to drop a letter in the mail and have it arrive across the US in a few days. And, I love my local PO!
As to writing....Me too. I write to two wonderful ladies (in their 90s) and regularly send out cards to a few friends.
I love beautiful stationary and pretty stamps. I coordinate them all when I can. And, I order colorful, decorative address labels.
It's a lost art, but I still love doing it!
That is all I was asking in this thread because in my lifetime of 40+ years, I've never seen a decrease and find it fascinating that something like stamps has actually gone down in this day and age. Normally, the price would just be locked and remain the same same for longer than usual but to actually go down, even if only by a few cents, seems unheard of .
First gas- which I NEVER thought would go below $2.00 again and now stamps? What next?? (please say construction costs so I can finish my house, lol!!)

A few pennies means a lot to some. They spend just as good as other coins.
