I sent a huge package to CA on thursday afternoon - priority mail, but it was pretty big. I figured it would get there by Wednesday.
I also sent out Christmas cards with gift cards to my nephews in CA - on Saturday afternoon at 3pm. I know, late, late, late. Normal first class postage
imagine my surprise - the package was there this morning in CA and I just got a thank you from one of my nephews for the gift card today....
TODAY.... I live on the east coast, btw.
kudos to the Post Office for really kickin' some behind to get these gifts and cards delivered quickly!

they will get it there if they don't loose it in between.....

That is fast.
I ordered something Friday morning, and tracking tells me I will receive it tomorrow. UPS has been efficient this year.

Priority Mail is pretty reliable! I find that a parcel will delivery in that 2-3 day period 99.99% of the time.
Considering that they handle millions of parcels every day, they really do a very good job!

It's also very reasonably priced too.
I sent a BIG package to another NYS city -$9 and got there in two days - NOT sent priority - just regular mail.

wow when I saw my name as the OP of this thread, I was scratching my head - did I drunk post or something? I didn't remember starting this - then I looked at the date - 2010!!
What happened? Did a time warp occur? haha

not a fan of usps recently. I purchased 2 items online that were sent priority mail, and from the tracking, they're still stuck where they were sent from! I have no idea if I'm going to receive them before Christmas, or receive them at all. they were pretty pricey too. I'm so disappointed. ![]()

They do a great job and they deliver on Sunday, which I love. Granted, the senders are paying for priority mail but it's worth it. Last week I ordered a sweater from Amazon early Thursday morning and the Usps delivered it Sunday afternoon. Can't ask for better than that.

D'oh! Now that they don't show the OP date, before you have to click on the thread, it's easy to buy in.
This (dragging up really old threads) seems to be a favorite way of trolling on this board. Kids will be kids, I guess. ![]()
