Re: USPS Is Planning To Slow Down Delivery of Some 1st Class Mail!

 "According to those disagreeing..."

Well, I'm disagreeing with those disagreeing.

They're saying they don't waste enough money to take steps to stop wasting it!  It's not a big enough waste to respond to it.

Now that sounds like an overpaid bureaucrat spending other people's money.

Slowing down delivery of 1st class mail at the same time that 1st class postage is going up?? Give me a break!

Well if they slow down the delivery of 1st class mail, they can just walk on by.

Not sure how it will save money if they are on the street anyway but whatever...

He has no clue what he is doing.

The morale at the USPS is at an all time low.  I feel sorry for those that must work there.

He needs to be GONE.

My sister still hasn't received the valentine I sent her in February. We both live in metro Atlanta.

Seriously....how much more horrible can the service get?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: USPS Is Planning To Slow Down Delivery of Some 1st Class Mail!

I heard this several days ago and thought how much worse can it get with them?

This past January and on through the winter, we (us and my mom) didn't get our mail on any kind of a regular basis, including bills and medications. It was a hot mess, and quite frankly, still isn't totally fixed for us.

I know we are looking at ways to pay bills and do business in other ways. The one thing I can't change is my mom's medication that comes through the mail. This past winter, she ad four different prescriptions that were held up for over 30 days past the date they were supposed to be delivered. There was such a scramble (by me) to get new prescriptions called in to local pharmacies, and picked up. All of them finally came through, but were 30 days or more late, just sitting in a post office in the Cleveland area.

And they have the nerve to increase postage this month on top of everything else! LOL

Re: USPS Is Planning To Slow Down Delivery of Some 1st Class Mail!

The VAST majority of my deliveries are on time or within a day or two. I get my meds in 1-2 days.

This is not to say some areas are slow to deliver. I'm sure they are as too many are complaining about it. But I do agree he needs to go for various reasons.

This guy DeJoy (a name full of irony) has caused nothing but heartburn from Day One.  Of course, that's why he was placed in his position.

He is following a particular agenda that is harmful in multiple ways.
