What have been your experiences with UPS vs Fed Ex?  I have had only one problem with UPS though the years but Fed Ex is extremely unreliable.  I ordered something from Uniqlo and the item was tendered to Fed Ex in Pennsylvania on September 9.  I am in Chicago and the package was in Illinois on September 12.  The package is now in Wisconsin and expected delivery is September 15.   They originally gave anticipated delivery dates as September 10, 11, 13, and now September 15.  I could have driven  to Pennsylvania, picked the package up and had it here the next day.  I think UPS has much better service than Fed Ex.

1.  UPS

2.

3.  FEDEX

4.

5.

6.

7.

8.

9.

10.

11.

12.

14.

15.  USPS

I used to have nothing but trouble with Fed Ex, but for a year now it's been fine. I must be lucky because UPS and USPS have never been a problem , knock wood and fingers crossed that it stays that way.

USPS is the most reliable & fastest for me.

UPS was good when they were UPS. The UPS to USPS is horrible!!

FedEx has never gotten a package to my address correctly & when I call they tell me to go around to the neighbors & ask to see if anyone has my package!

FedEx used to be horrible, but now they are the more reliable of the two.

UPS?  If they have time and feel so moved they'll toss our stuff on the porch after they've served every business in town and every other neighborhood.  They come in the dark of the night.

USPS?  They are good on our route.

Fed-Ex used to be my preferred shipper but anymore they are excruciatingly slow, unreliable and I've had more damaged items when this shipping method is used.
UPS is the best for me, followed by USPS.

Virtually every serious shipping disaster I've ever had in regard to lost or mis-delivered packages has involved FedEx.  I will not buy from a merchant who I know uses FedEx.  Never had this happen with UPS, and although USPS is slow, I always eventually get my package; not so with FedEx.

USPS and anything like DHL to USPS, Amazon to USPS or UPS to USPS is awful.  It sits for days at a hub, then I get a notice that there was an attempted delivery or that it's been delivered but shows up 2 days later.

USPS has never been good in my development, mysteriously we never seem to get mail on Mondays or Fridays or the day before or after a holiday weekend.  Our HOA sends our parking passes by Certified Mail Return Receipt and the post office doesn't even attempt to deliver them.  They just put pick up notices in everyone's box and forces us to go to the Post Office during the day while we're all working.

I have 30 years of stories whenever you're bored.

Knock on wood I’ve had minimal delays with any of them. The longest shipping is FedEx Smartpost - when the last leg transfers to USPS. That can add up to a week. Overall, my local delivery (SoCA) is quite reliable. Delays usually arise on packages going through the Midwest and sometimes GA. Even then, it’s less than a week.
