Anyone experiencing any delays with UPS?  I have two different Amazon orders, both coming UPS and they're really late.

Status shows they are delayed and it shows that both packages have been in Laurel, MD since the 14th, delayed because of the virus.

I understand delays because of the virus and stuff. I'm not mad, it's just stuff,  but you'd think after sitting in one place for 5 days, they'd start moving somewhere.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@gidgetgh: The delay in shipping (UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon) has been ongoing for around three months now, as a result of the pandemic.

The excuse of the pandemic is getting old.

Yes, deliveries were a bit later but it would be an extra day or so added on to my expected delivery date.

I've had delivery delays that were due more so from the vendors, where they were prioritizing food and household-type orders and filling certain types of orders before mine.

That's alright, and I understand that, too.

I'm just using that as another example of why there might be a delay with the shipping of your order, too.

I have placed many small orders with Amazon since this started.  They seem to be deciding what is important and what orders to delay.  Took them a month to send shampoo.....

@gidgetgh Yet I got a Radley of London order I placed on the Monday after Easter, that came from England, on the Friday of that very same week! It came by plane of course and then by DHL and it even sat with DHL at their hub for two days. My point is I placed my order from England on Monday and got it Friday. So yes I think the corona excuse is getting old.

I have been ordering a lot now and Walmart has proven unpredictable at best for most items ordered from  Amazon did not even have prime 2 day delivery for a long time.  These companies as well as shipping companies have had to hire so many new employees to try to keep up but still struggling.  There have been errors with lost packages and packages sent to wrong places, packages left on trucks because they cannot deliver the huge volume daily and trucks assigned to another route.  It's an impossible job now and I surely understand.  They are giving priority to necessary items that are prioritized by many businesses for shipping.  This is a severe crisis.  No one is going to die because of lack of shampoo, clothing items or beauty products, etc.  and I don't expect fast delivery.

You can't just say ZAP and pandemic is gone!  Be realistic!!

I have had Amazon orders delayed some. This is just the sign of the times. I often think of the many workers, that are keeping essential services functioning.
