Ray Rice is from suburban NYC. The local news interviewed numerous people from his neighborhood. To hear them talk, the man was a saint. One young woman said, don't just him by what you saw on the tape. Not one person said it was wrong for him to hit a woman.
What is this world coming to?

there are a lot of mixed feelings both inside and outside of baltimore as to what should eventually happen to ray rice, but i have a hard time believing that the league is going to ban him permanently.
there are a lot of players who have been in trouble for domestic violence and now hopefully the league and the players are going to sit up and take notice that this type of behavior will not be tolerated.
OP..... i am curious as to why you just put the name ray rice in the title of the thread?
We had an earlier discussion that went to poofsville.........

Seriously. They took their own sweet time to reach that decision.
My understanding is that they did not have the portion of the video at the time. The one they were using for his earlier suspension showed him dragging her out of the elevator.

Sorry sunshine, I did not see your question to me--by Sydney is correct-- I was afraid to use his name in the title because of the earlier conversation.

seriously?
That's appalling.
Wow, I guess I shouldn't be shocked that they would say something like that - but I still am. *SMH*

Steve D. said the message is when in an elevator, there's a camera.
Huh?
Brian K had already said the message here is take the stairs.
Video is available...
Actually blaming the victim for marrying him. Should she have? That would be a definite no in my book but I'm also not a victim of abuse nor in the abused's mindset.

I heard that, but I also heard that both denied seeing it prior to today.
