Supposedly the courts decided to do a pre-trial intervention and if he completes the program there will not be any further (legal) action.

I do not know if this is binding, or if they can up the charges with this evidence.

It's standard for first time offenders...

especially if they are rich and famous!

OJ got off "easy" for a lot of his abuse too.

He sure did get off easy.

Especially that part where he was found "not guilty" for killing her and Ronald Goldman.

He should be in jail!! Anybody else would be!!

And she should be in divorce court. With the real possibility he will not have huge future paychecks, maybe she'll realize, "I promise I'll never hit you again" is BS.

she shouldn't have married him in the first place. the second he raised a hand she should have walked away. she didn't. now it's on her.

IT IS NOT ON HER!!!

We will have to disagree. She stayed it is on her now.

So please explain...what is the "IT" that you think is "on" her?

"it?" she married him. it is now on her. she was only engaged to him. after the incident she did not have to say "i do." "it" is on her now.

football money, endorsement money, front row concert tickets were worth a smack every now and then. how long will that last now with the ruling. haha

So because she married him, now she has to take this abuse?!?!

she made a choice to say "i do." she knew what she was getting. she made a pad choice. her choice.

Re: UPDATE: a certain football player conversation

just saw on another website he will probably be keeping TWENTY-FIVE of the 35 total million dollar contract.

Stories like this, Michael Vick, the quarterback from TN a couple of years ago shot dead by his girlfriend (he had a wife and kids too) . . . the other player from Pittsburgh I think with murder . . . just AWFUL. Repeat many, many times between NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB.

Too much money, too much fame . . . and too much trouble. And then look what they did to somebody like Tebow. Go figure.

OMG...so a woman makes a "bad choice" and marries an abuser, that makes it okay for the abuser to punch out her lights?! It's evident that some women have never had the experience of living with an abuser, and just DON'T GET IT....very SAD.

Re: UPDATE: a certain football player conversation

I have a coworker who was a single mom with two kids. She started dating another co worker who was eventually fired. She started coming in with bruises. He was arrested for domestic violence when he drove his car into her home. One month later they got married. Cops were called last month when the neighbors heard the fighting and got worried. He moved into her he's, still has no job and she goes home everyday now to a ticking time bomb. She really loves him and thinks she can change him. He has one child who he isn't allowed to see, but see her children daily.

In this day and age there should be jail time and loss of gainful employment, whoever they may be.

Re: UPDATE: a certain football player conversation

I don't watch football (in fact you could say I hate it..lol). But it is my opinion that he should have been fired from the team BEFORE the tape was released. Why do they cater to these NFL players and famous people? Its ridiculous!
