Good...he also lied and said his GF(at the time) spit on him in the elevator and I saw no proof of that in the recent video from inside the elevator.

I've seen the recent video. The now-wife shouldn't have to press charges in view of what the video shows him doing to her. That alone should be enough evidence to haul his sorry *ss to jail.

I am also fearful for her safety now that he's been released from the team. In my opinion he's going to blame her instead of taking responsibility himself.

Sadly his fiancé/wife defending him is classic battered wife syndrome. In some jurisdictions they can prosecute even if the wife refuses to file charges. I saw the video and the way he acted I don't think this is the first time it happened. He didn't seem concerned at all that his wife was unconscious. By the way he is no relation to Jerry Rice.

Supposedly the courts decided to do a pre-trial intervention and if he completes the program there will not be any further (legal) action.

I do not know if this is binding, or if they can up the charges with this evidence.

It's standard for first time offenders...

especially if they are rich and famous!

OJ got off "easy" for a lot of his abuse too.

Not necessarily. Different jurisdiction, different time. The Prosecutor did not have all the evidence at the time when the pre-trial intervention was put in place. The GF is also part of that Pre-trial program-- she actually gave misleading info or misrepresent the actual facts of the matter to the authorities, making it look like a mutual DV situation.

The Prosecutor was not given this most recent video until today. If they had that in the beginning, it would have been a game changer.
