Wonder how  this Victim may feel if they catch the Dog Nappers . Let's see if they come forward . If it were my son shot , I don't think I'd  feel good that oh well they  treated the dogs well and tied them to a pole  ...  since they used a handgun to try to kill that Dog walker .  Guess, as long as it's somebody elses's  family member it's easy for many .

Re: UPDATE***** Lady Gaga's Dogs Recovery

French bull dogs are very popular which makes them a hot comoddity.  There was another case  here in So. Cal where a french bulldog was stolen out of car.

The pup wasn't alone in the car, a man had left the dog in the car with his daughters.  The thief brazenly took the dog.  The man chased the thief with his car into a cul-de-sac and when the thief realized he was trapped, he gave back the dog.

Glad Gaga got her pets back safely.

I don't  believe the dog nippers knew the dogs belonged to L G.

They also mistakenly thought that the dog walker would just hand over the dogs when they threatened him with the gun and never intended to shoot him.

Most dog walkers would have but Ryan wasn't  just a paid walker.

When they're caught, that they didn't harm the dogs will count in their favor. At least it would with me.

The fact that they didn't harm the dogs counts for nothing, and that's as it should be.  The criminals here aren't mere dognappers -- they're attempted murderers of a human being.  That's what matters.

They took a risk securing the dogs to the pole. They could have been seen and identified. Much safer to kill the dogs and bury them.

That they could have killed the walker and didn't also is in their favor.

They TRIED to kill the dog walker and failed -- no thanks to them.  The fact that they were unable to kill him hardly counts in their "favor." Nor does the fact that they didn't kill the dogs count in their favor.  If they'd killed the dogs, they'd simply be charged with an additional crime (though one that pales utterly by comparison to their attempted murder of a human being). Criminals don't get credit for not committing more crimes than they already committed.

Re: UPDATE***** Lady Gaga's Dogs Recovery

Plea deals are a fact of life in the judicial system.

Now, will these two be offered a plea deal if/when they are caught?

Maybe. It's always a possibility. I'm not going to say that they will be offered a plea deal, and I am not going to say that they won't be offered a plea deal.

But! I will say that I won't be shocked if  they are offered a plea deal.

So glad the doggies are home where they belong!  Cat LOL

I would think that nearby street cameras will be helpful ... just look for a person in a hurry with 2 dogs, right?

I read that the reason the FBI got involved was suspicion this was supposedly revenge for Gaga singing at the inauguration.     Why else would they steal them ... expecting to sell them on the black market?

I'm guessing time will tell ......

@Tinkrbl44, where did you anything about such a motive? As for motive, dogs are kidnapped quit often.

Presumably, the dogs were microchipped.  Wouldn't that alone have made it near impossible for anyone to get away with theft?

No, dog nappers are doing kitchen surgery and removing the microchips. They can locate them with a scanner.

Stealing expensive pure bred dogs has been going on for a while, not just here in the US, but in Europe as well.

I won't allow my dogs outside in the yard all alone or even on the deck by themselves.  I have had perfect strangers come into my yard while my dogs were on my deck to look at them.  They are surprised when they see me.  I am pretty careful and always with them.

A few years ago, someone stole my neighbor's Boxer right out of their fenced in yard.  Their kids were heartbroken.

I just remembered that years ago, my mother had a 7 lb poodle whom she she spoiled.  When my mother passed, my father wasn't taking care of him as he should, so my sister took him.

Every morning my sister let him outside while she ate breakfast.  Her yard had a brick wall with a fence around it and you had to climb up stairs to get into the yard.  The dog would slip, under the gate sit up there on the wall and get loved on by the neighbors who all knew him as they passed by.

After breakfast, he came back in and my sister left for work.  One morning when she opened the door, he was was not there.

She  and her neighbors looked for him, but he was gone.  She had to go to work, but the neighbors said they would continue to look for him.

Around 11 am, The dog's groomer called my sister and said she had her dog.  She found him wandering on the grass medium of an interstate highway.  Thankfully, she stopped out of concern and then recognized him when he jumped into the car with her without hesitation.

We think someone stole him and put him out on the highway because he was mean and nasty.  He could be vicious if he didn't know or like you.  He probably bit the thief.

It was a miracle that he wasn't killed and what are the chances he was found by his groomer on her way to work?

A cousin of mine in California had his dogs stolen out of the yard.  They had an Invisible Fence so they just picked up and walked away.

Nope.  Attempted murder is attempted murder.  That is the significant charge.  Dogs are considered property in all states so the charges will be Felony Theft with a weapon because of the value of the two dogs and attempted murder.  Probably charges will be several--armed robbery, felony theft and attempted murder.  These guys are a danger to the public and when caught will be charged and serve time.
