Re: U.S. Marines stop terror attack in France

Actually, one of those heroes was a US Airman!!

"8/22/2015 - RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany  -- A 65th Air Base Group Airman, along with two other friends traveling on personal leave, took immediate action to stop an attack and subdue an armed gunman on board a train in Northern France, Aug. 21, 2015.

Airman First Class Spencer Stone, 65th Air Base Group, Lajes Field, Azores, saw an emergency situation arise and took immediate action to subdue an armed gunman before he could engage his automatic weapon on the train."

I believe the guy shot in the neck was just a passenger - not one of our guys and one of the marines assisted him while the other two hog tied the gunman. The airman who was hurt had non life threatening wound. Our soldiers are awesome though aren't they !

One of the marines was on CBS this AM saying that if the gunman's automatic weapon had not jammed they would not have been able to do much and would likely have been shot for their efforts.
