@qualitygal Yesterday from a long essay about carbon's role in climate change, I learned one of the very worst causes of that pollution is fashion. I knew I'd been making closet and dresser space by buying less clothing, but I had no idea I was doing something for climate control at the same time! Win/win.

Textiles are banned from trash pickup. Our town has recycle bins for unuseable textiles and various bins around town for reuseable clothing. I had no idea there was so much of it. I just got rid of two bags yesterday.

@frenchie According to the essay I was reading, every second of the day the equivalent of the contents of a large truck of textiles ends up somewhere in the world's landfill.
Assuming that number is at all accurate, there'd be about 10,000 trucks of just textile trash in a year. I've lived in or near water-endangered areas my entire life and never before had the slightest understanding of the extent of textile pollution.

Worldwide fast fashion is huge polluter. Most women have tons of cheap clothing. You can see how they designs housing now with enormous closets.

There's a new wireless technology on the horizon...6G. It's suppose to be starting in 2025 with most commercial networks up by 2030.
6G is even more capable of using AI technology across all platforms and it will be using AI itself to increase speed and efficiency of 6G networking. In other words, AI will be the heart and brains of 6G technology.

It's not just fast fashion. People keep changing their wardrobes so much. Why not try and rethink what you have? Try coordinating things in a new way. Why not swap some clothes with a friend if you're tired of some things? The older clothing was made so much better anyway.
