To everyone who posted such kind words and shared their stories of the loss of their loved ones, God Bless you all. Knowing that other people can relate to how I feel helps. Who knows, maybe they are all together having a grand old time! I suppose they are really never gone if with keep the memory of them alive and keep them in our heart. I like to think my mother is watching over me like my own personal guardian angel.

@Jordan2   I wish my mother could come back but we all know that is impossible.  Over 10 years maybe 15 or so but I miss her so much.  Sometimes the tears roll down my cheeks.  My mother was one in a million and I love her.

My mother passed away in 2009.   I still miss her terribly.

Reading all these wonderful memories makes me teary eyed.  I lost my mom after a long battle with dementia and it was so difficult for me.  We'd always been very close. At the end she was a different person, of course, that's the disease.  But I struggled with the situation and the unfairness of it all for her.

My siblings and I then had to help our dad because Mom was gone and he missed her so much. He went into a nursing home but still had cognitive awareness so one of us usually visited him daily and we took him out almost every day for a short ride to get coffee, watch the small planes land and take off at our local airport, watch the ducks swimming in the river, etc.

Covid killed him before he actually got it because we could only visit him at the window and not take him anywhere or do anything with him. He died of Covid but truthfully, I believe he decided to give up.  Mom was gone and they'd done everything together for 70 years.  Add to that the fact that he was stuck in the NH every day, lonely and sad and we could only wave through the window.  I believe he and Mom are together again.  That give me peace.

I'm sorry. Just know that reaching out just a little like you did, brought you lots of love from all of us thinking of you.Widowed penguins hug in award-winning photo - BBC News

Thank you so much @Porcelain@SoCal Bred and @beckyb1012 everyone else for your words of kindness and compassion. It's been so hard to admit that she is gone. I don't want it to be real, but It helps to share the burden and know others understand. I tend to keep things to myself most of the time.

@Jordan2 I am so sorry for your loss and share in your feelings.  I miss my momma every day that ends in "Y".  I stayed with her from Jan 1to Jan 30 of 2016 before she passed away.  We were a family of 2 for a long time.  My father passed away in 1976, brother got killed in 1979.  I wiped foam from my mothers mouth as she left this earth without me.  She taught me lots about life but how to live without her.  I will keep you in prayer for healing, we will see them one day..................

@Boomernichols thank you for your kind words, you have my condolences as well. I also know what it's like to lose a brother. I thought it would break my mother to bury her only son, she was surprisingly stoic and got through it. Unfortunately there comes a time when we all join the club of losing a parent and have to deal with the heartache and pain. Not a day goes by I don't think about my mom and wish I could pickup the phone and call her.
