Twins Born in Two Different Years

Just watching the local DC area news and they showed a mother who gave birth to twins. The first was born at 2 minutes before midnight 2013, the other at 1 minute after midnight 2014. Only gets a tax break for one. Wonder how they'll celebrate the birthdays in years to come! Beautiful babies, by the way!!!!!!!!!

Our twins were born on 12/31 and 1/1. It was a planned c-section. My doctors thought it would make for a unique situation. Who was I to say no. There was a lot of publicity and a lot of gifts and perks.

As for the twins, they loved having different birth years.

My grandmother was a twin and she was the first baby born in the Bahamas in 1911. Her brother was born 4 minutes before midnight but he didn't make it. Her birthday was 1-1-11 and I always used to make her a cake with that number on it because I thought it was so cool.

Cool story! I bet the twins will really love each having their own birthday. Plus, how many people can say they have such a cool story to go along with their births.
