Often times, life is what happens when you're busy making plans.
Lord, help me to notice each moment and not rush through it.

Meditation for the day:

I can live one day at a time. I can make each day
one of preparation for better things ahead. I need not dwell on the
past or the future, only on the present. I can bury every fear of the
future, all thoughts of unkindness and bitterness, all my dislikes, my
resentments, my sense of failure, my disappointments in others and in
myself, my gloom and my despondency. I can leave all these things
buried and go forward, into
a new life!

Prayer for the day:

I pray that God will guide me one day at a time. I
pray that for each day, God will supply the wisdom and the strength I
need.

Hello my friends! Well today I had a change of heart where Sammy is
concerned and during Ollie's first class of Intermediate training, and
seeing my dear friend there with her 7 year old dashound, I couldn't not
sign Sammy up for this intermediate class! He has so much to learn yet, at
his age of 8. But when he's supposed to sit, he sits up and begs, when he's
supposed to lie down, he rolls over - how to untrain that? We have a
private first session with him tomorrow tomorrow night - Linus is going to
be there for it, Lori can't make it, and this one session without any other
dogs should be good.. The classes are with maybe 5 or 6 dogs! It's going to
be fun doing this together with Lori. Now when I have Ollie, we can play
school together with Sammy and they love that! Only Sammy does everything
backwards now. He just wants to show off how cute he can be, but the
trainer won't go for that. He's in for a rude awakening, and he'll do fine!
It was so much fun at the dog training tonight, I'll call that a blessing
plus being with Lori, always is. With Ollie now, we are seeing each other
more often - since she bought her house. It's a blessing! Another
blessing - it was Linus' day off and he got a lot done today. He works
tomorrow, but then he's off for a number of days. Small check, but more off
days is good. On his off days, he plans to work on a front little deck for
Lori. He and his brothers again will be working together. Well, that's it
for today - praying for you all, and thanks for your prayers for us.

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel
like doing something nice for someone you care for?
THAT'S GOD talking to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you
to talk to?
THAT'S GOD wanting you to talk to Him.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a
long time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone
call from them?
THAT'S GOD. There is no such thing as coincidence.

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask
for, like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been
cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen
something you needed, but couldn't afford?
THAT'S GOD knowing the desires of your heart.

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it was going
to get better, how the hurting would stop, how the pain would ease,
but now you look back on it.
THAT'S GOD passing us through tribulation to see a brighter day.

Just for today, Lord

I will live through the next 12 hours and not try to tackle all of life's
problems at once.

I will improve my mind. I will learn something useful. I will learn
something that requires effort, thought, and concentration.

I will be agreeable. I will look my best, speak in well-modulated voice, be
courteous and considerate.

I will not find fault with friend, relative or colleague. I will not try to
change or improve anyone other than myself.

I will have a program. I might not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I
will save myself from two enemies, hurry and indecision.

I will do a good turn and keep it secret. If anyone finds out, it won't
count.

I will do two things I don't want to do. Just for exercise.

I will believe in myself. I will give my best to the world and feel
confident that the world will give it's best to me.

Prayer for Students

Father Joseph, you taught Jesus how to work and play,

help us to realise that we can only gain knowledge by listening and
learning.

With you to help and guide us we pray,

O Saint Joseph, that we will choose the right path

and will remain faithful to the teachings of Jesus.

anonymous systems within which we need not see who gets less as we get
