Trying to avoid bird strikes on windows

I've had those plastic translucent peel off bird silhouettes on my windows for three years. They've worked fine until about a month ago. I'm getting several birds hitting the windows each day. What's going on here? I just shudder when I hear this sound. Can these "wear out?" If I need new ones can you give me an online source?
