Re: Try to see it as a time to grow!

This is so nice for you to say, I learned from my parents that life is to be lived at the moment and nothing is promised. So I have always tried to take some time for myself and to help someone if it is a kind word of encouragement. We never know what God has in mind but we can sure learn that we only have a short time on this earth and we all need to slow down and live. I try to give myself that time as much as possible, and i truly hope that we all will be  better after all this is over. Be safe and praying that everyone learn something from staying home.

Thank you @Sooner for putting into words these thoughts of kindness and encouragement. This time of solitutude can be used as a positive time to do the inner work we push aside during our busy lives. We now have the time to be conscious of our thoughts, words and actions. Hopefuly we will put them to good use, not just for ourselves but for other's as well.

Maybe it is a retreat, a time to grow, a time to focus, learn something new, try to relax, reach out to others.  Learn enough of another language to make minimal conversation.

Since many of us are basically housebound, have you ever wanted to study a certain subject, read a series of books, do a deep clean of things you don't need?

Well, now you have the time and the lack of disruptions to accomplish a lot, read, be spiritual, read uninterrupted, and take that breath you haven't taken for years.

Call someone on the phone, wish them well, send them a card, let them know you care.

Maybe think of what we can do, for others and for ourselves.

Lovely!  I was thinking of this time as time to get that garden planted.

I have been calling a lot of friends, family and neighbors to let them know I am thinking of them. I have reached out to family members that are in other states and enjoyed our conversations. Would not have reached out before, but now I am reminded life is short and time is precious.

@ECBG I used to have a garden, and I'm thinking it's about that time.  I don't think we will get another freeze, but then it is Oklahoma.
