It's gaudy, but gaudy is what casinos seem to strive for. They're dropping like flies in Atlantic City, that's for sure.

There were all sorts of amusements, the best was the Steel Pier. Then something happened, not sure what, and Atlantic City lost its luster. When the casinos came to town, the city was revitalized to a certain extent. Go off the boardwalk and the place looked run down and seedy. Now nearby states have opened their own casinos so people don't have to go to Atlantic City, they can stay close to home.
Exactly, and we all saw that coming. That, and the fact that one can game on their iPods and iPads. Why fight the traffic and parking? It was going to come sooner or later . . . and it has come.

Trump sold these properties back in the early part of 2013. At that time he wanted his name removed since he had a small % of holding on the properties. I don't blame him. But this article and thread narrative is making it out as if he is still the owner. I am not a big fan of Trump but I hate inaccuracies that just keep getting worse since nobody bothers to check facts. And just run with whatever is written as if it is factual.

He has ripped off a lot of his workers and vendors too...through his numerous bankruptcies.
Disagree.

I agree. He is a target because he has been successful and there are some people who hate successful people due to jealousy...

Trump has tried and failed on numerous occasions to get a permit from the NV Gaming Board to open a casino here. Thank goodness they keep turning him down. He has a hotel yes but that's it - no gaming.

Aren't other gambling joints leaving Atlantic City also?

Ugh! Glad to hear it. It was bad enough that we almost ended up with a Jethro Bodine casino (up here, anyway) but DT is just a bridge (or two) too far.
That said, however, I'm kind of surprised that NV isn't wanting him here. A bullet dodged.

That's a ridiculous notion.

Trump owns a percentage of Trump Entertainment Resorts and they own the Taj. It clearly says that in the article.
